Last updated: 3 October 2026
1. Who is responsible for your personal data
Ascend Technologies (“Ascend”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is responsible for personal data submitted through this website for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We operate from Asokwa, Kumasi, Ghana.
For website enquiries, our primary contact for privacy and data-protection matters is ascendtechnologiesgh@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
When you submit a project enquiry, we may collect your name, company or organisation, email address, phone number, industry, the service you are interested in, project description, indicative budget, desired timeline, consent record and technical information associated with the submission.
You may choose not to provide optional information. Required information is identified on the enquiry form. Please do not submit health information, financial-account credentials, passwords, identification numbers or other sensitive personal information through the website enquiry form.
3. Why we collect and use your information
We collect personal data for specific and lawful business purposes connected with our activities, including to receive and respond to project enquiries, communicate with prospective clients, understand project requirements, prepare proposals or quotations, maintain business records, secure the website and form service, prevent abuse and comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use enquiry information for unrelated purposes without an appropriate legal basis or, where required, your consent.
4. Consent and lawful processing
We process personal data in accordance with Ghana’s Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). The enquiry form asks for your consent to allow Ascend to contact you about the enquiry. Where consent is the basis for processing, you may withdraw that consent by contacting us.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect processing that was already carried out lawfully before withdrawal or processing that is otherwise permitted or required by law.
5. Service providers and disclosure
We do not sell personal data. We may use service providers that host, secure or process the website and enquiry form. The current website uses Netlify for hosting and form handling. Netlify may store submitted form information and can deliver form notifications to the email address configured by Ascend.
We may disclose personal data where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, respond to lawful requests, protect the rights or security of Ascend or another person, or where you have authorised the disclosure. Where a third party processes personal data for Ascend, we will take appropriate steps required by applicable data-protection law.
6. Direct marketing
We will not use personal data submitted through the project enquiry form for direct marketing where prior consent is required by Ghanaian data-protection law. If you later receive permitted marketing communications, you may ask us to stop using your personal data for direct marketing.
8. Retention and deletion
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to perform a contract or take steps requested before a contract, to comply with a legal obligation, to establish or defend legal claims, or for another lawful purpose permitted under applicable law.
When personal data is no longer required, we will delete, destroy or de-identify it in a manner appropriate to the information and applicable legal requirements.
9. Security and data incidents
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the information we process to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, destruction, alteration or unlawful processing. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Where a security compromise involving personal data triggers notification duties under applicable Ghanaian law, we will take the required steps, including notification to the Data Protection Commission and affected data subjects where required.
10. Your data-protection rights
Subject to the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you may have rights including to be informed about processing, access personal data held about you, request correction of inaccurate data, object to specified processing, prevent processing that causes or is likely to cause unwarranted damage or distress, withdraw consent where consent is relied upon, and complain about unlawful processing.
The Data Protection Commission states that an access request is generally to be handled promptly and, subject to the Act, within forty days. Requests should be made using the contact details in this policy.
11. Children
This website is intended primarily for businesses, organisations and adult users seeking technology services. We do not intentionally request sensitive personal information from children through the enquiry form. If personal information has been submitted by a child without appropriate authority, a parent or guardian may contact us so that we can assess and address the request.
12. Third-party websites
The website may contain links to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy. We encourage you to review those policies before providing personal information to a third party.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our website, services, data-processing practices or legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page identifies the current version.
14. Privacy contact
